Financial- Account Details Report


Surf Accounts provides all the relevant information in a methodical and structured manner to make it easy to understand. It has been designed in such a fashion so that it can be used by the large corporation, and small and medium enterprises and accountants. You can customise your reports for the individual business. With simple select options, you can preview them on the fly before emailing or saving a copy. The reports will be generated and can be viewed interactive reports on a real-time basis.

Financial Report

The financial report will generate reports regarding VAT Report, Bank Reconciliation, Trial Balances, Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, Account Details, Journal Listing, Yearly Budget Comparison, Periodic Budget Comparison and Budget Details.

Generating Account Details Report

To generate the Account Details Reports» Financial» Account Details., the following screen will appear.


Simply select the Account Details Report from the Financial Settings; you will be brought forward to the next screen.


Select "Run" to Generate the General ledger Accounts Report.

Generating the General Accounts Report

Period Range:  To generate the Account Details Report periodically, select the period from the drop-down menu of Period Range. For e.g. if you wish to generate the report from January 2013 to December 2013 select the Period from the drop down. By leaving this column blank the account details report will generate for the entire financial year.


By keeping the Period Range as blank the entire General Ledger Account will appear in the report and the Date Range will appear in the top right-hand corner of the screen. 

Account code: To generate the report by selecting the Account (Nominal) code, select the account code by using the lookups of Account code from the browser. By leaving the column the report will consider all the Account (nominal) code. 


Select the nominal code from the Account (Nominal) code Range. 

Select the Period Range and the nominal code from the above pop up to generate customized General Ledger Accounts. 

Customisation of Account Details Report

To include or exclude the columns in the report select the “Advance” button from the browser. By selecting the “Advanced” option a new browser will appear to include or exclude with the column. To access the “Advance Setting” for the Account Details Report select Reports» Financial » Accounts Details Report from the browser. 


Select the “Advanced” option to customize the report from “Advanced Settings”. By selecting “Advance” you will be brought forward to the “Advance Settings” browse to include or exclude columns. 


Toolbar Functionality of the Account Details (Print, Excel, Save, and Email)


Use Print, Excel, Save and Email button to print, download and email the report. 

Print: To Print the Budget Details Report select Print Icon from the toolbar, a preview will be generated at first. Select the Printer icon from the preview to print the report.


Excel: To download the General Ledger Accounts Report in MS excel format select the “Excel” option and the report will be downloaded to the local machine in Excel (Spreadsheet) format.


Save: To save the General Ledger Account Report select the “Save” option from the toolbar to download into your local machine in PDF format.


Email: To send the Account Details Report through email select the “Email” option from the toolbar. A pop up will be generated. An attachment will be sent to the customer to open or save in PDF format. 

To: Enter the email address of the recipient.

CC/BCC: Enter the email address if you wish to send a copy of the report.

Subject: Enter the subject line of the email dial-up box.
