How to Use Data Mining

Overview

Data Mining is one of the key features provided by Surfaccounts in terms of finance and accounting. By running the Data mining through Surfaccounts user can get useful information. The objective of Data Mining through Surfaccounts to look for the patterns in large batches of Data, business can learn about more about their customer and develop more effective strategies based on the current contact information in terms of profitability by increasing the business volume. Data mining depends on the business contact data inputs so that it can be processed properly thorough Surfaccounts developing more effective business. Through customer contact and prospective customer Surfaccounts will help you to have a look at the customer and prospective customer details with all relevant information.

 

To access Data Mining through Surfaccoutns select the CRM Tab and then select Data Mining. The following screen will appear.

Add Data Mining through Surfaccounts

To “Add” Data mining select the” Add” option from the Toolbar of the Data Mining Browse.

Select the check boxes you want to display in the Data mining report and select “Save & Run” from the browse to carry out Data mining. The following screen will appear.

Description: Enter a description of the “Data Mining” in the Data Mining field. This description will be displayed in the Data mining browse.

Contact Type: To display the contact type in the Data Mining Report select the contact type by selecting the check box. For e.g. if the contact type is "Customers” select the “Customer” check box. Select the check box depending on the “Contact Type”. Multiple selections are allowed for Contact Type. 
Sub Contact: To display the sub contact in the Data Mining Report select the sub contacts the by using the “Sub Contact” check box. For e.g. if you wish to display the “Sub-Contacts” and “Sub-Contact’s Address” choose the appropriate check box.
Contact Details: To display the contact details in the Data Mining Report select the “Contact Details” from the Data mining Browse select the contact details by selecting the “Contact Details” check box. If the email address, mobile number and postal address of the contact is entered into Surfaccounts select the appropriate check box. You can select multiple check boxes.
Town: To display the name of the “Town” in the Data Mining report select the “Town” check box to display the “Town” of the contacts or business. By selecting the “Town” check box in the header “Select All” option will automatically selected. If you wish to select specific “Towns” deselect the “Select All” check box and select as per business requirement. 
County: To display the name of the “County” in the Data Mining report select the “County” check box to display the “County” of the contacts or business By selecting the “County” check box in the header “Select All” option will automatically selected. If you wish to select specific “County” deselect the “Select All” check box and select as per business requirement.
Country: To display the name of the “Country” in the Data Mining report select the “Country” check box to display the “Country” of the contacts or business. By selecting the “Country” check box in the header “Select All” option will automatically selected. If you wish to select specific “Country” deselect the “Select All” check box and select as per business requirement.
Categories: To display the “Product Categories” in the Data Mining report select the “Product Categories” check box to display the “Product Categories” of the business. By selecting the “Categories” check box in the header “Select All” option will automatically selected. If you wish to select specific “Product Category” deselect the “Select All” check box and select as per business requirement.
Account Manager:  To display the name of the  Account Manager select  the “Account Manager’s name” in the Data Mining report select the “Account Manager” check box to display the “Account Managers” name of the contacts or business. By selecting the “Account Manager” check box in the header “Select All” option will automatically selected. If you wish to select specific “Account Manager” deselect the “Select All” check box and select the name of the “Account Manager’s Name” as per business requirement.
Position: To display the “Position” of the Account Manager Data Mining report select the “Position” check box to display the “Position” for e.g. CEO of the company for Club Secretary of the contact or organization. By selecting the “Position” check box in the header “Select All” option will automatically selected. If you wish to select specific “Position” deselect the “Select All” check box and select the name of the “Position” as per business requirement.
Industry: To display the type of the “Industry” in the Data Mining report select the “Industry” check box to display the “Industry” for e.g. “The business is not specific” or “Manufacturing” or “Trading”. By selecting the “Industry” check box in the header “Select All” option will automatically selected. To customise the report  as per specific Industry deselect the “Select All” check box and select the one you want to display.
Employees: To display the name of contacts or business according to the employee strength in the Data Mining Report select the “Employees” check box. By selecting the “Employees” check box “Select All” will be automatically selected. To customise the report categorically deselect the “Select All” option and select the one you want to display.
Turnover: To display the name of contacts or business on the basis of “Turnover” in the Data Mining Report select the “Turnover” check box. By selecting the “Turnover” check box “Select All” will be automatically selected. To customize the report categorically deselect the “Select All” option and select the one you want to display.
 

Open Data Mining through Surfaccounts

To “Open” a Data mining choose the open option from the Toolbar of the Data Mining Browse. Select the "Open" option from the toolbar of the Data Mining browse. The following screen will appear.

Open an existing Data Mining from the browse.

 

Delete Data Mining through Surfaccounts

 

To “Delete” a Data mining choose the “Delete” option from the Toolbar of the Data Mining Browse after choosing the Description from the split. The following screen will appear.

Run Data Mining through Surfaccounts

 

To “Run”  Data Mining select the “Run” option from the Toolbar of the Data Mining Browse.
