Price History

Overview

Surf Accounts has introduced a new reporting option for detailed invoices both for sales and purchase by product wise. The price history report will generate the report product wise.

To generate the Price History Report select Reports» Suppliers/ Customer» Price History Report the following screen will appear.

Sort the Price History Report

You can sort the Price History Report by Date Range, Products and by Customers / Suppliers.

Date

Select the date range you wish to generate the report by using the calendar. Select the start and end date from the calendar under Date Range column.

Products

Select the products from the product column by using the product look up.

Customers/ Supplier

Select the range of customers/suppliers from the customer/supplier column by using the customer look up.

Customisation of Price History Report

From the ‘Advanced’ option you can include or excludes columns in the report. This includes the following column.

Date

The transaction date is displayed here.

Name

The customer/ supplier name is displayed here.

Product code

The product code is displayed here.

Description

The product description is displayed here.

Quantity

The product quantity is displayed here.

Price

The unit product price is displayed here.

Net

The net price of the product is displayed here.

Code

The customer/ supplier code is displayed here.

Category

The product category is displayed here.

Analysis code

The analysis code of the product is displayed here.

Doc. No.

The invoice number is displayed as document number here.

Purchase price

The purchase price of the product is displayed here.

Margin

The margin is calculated here

Profit

The profit is calculated here. For e.g. if the purchase price is Y and the sales price is X the profit is calculated as (X-Y).

Discount%

The discount percentage is displayed here if discount offered.

Discount

The discount amount is displayed here if discount offered.

VAT code

The VAT code applied on the product is displayed here.

VAT Rate

The VAT rate applied on the product is displayed here.

Analysis Description

The analysis description is displayed here. For e.g. if it is a sales transaction it may appear as Sales Type 01 and in case of purchase it may appear as Purchase 112 depending on the record.

VAT

The VAT amount is displayed here.

Gross

The gross amount is calculated here. If the price of the product is X and VAT is Y then the gross will be calculated as (X+Y).

Ref No.

The ref number is displayed here, if any.

Mark up%

The difference percentage of Sales and Purchase is displayed here. For e.g. if the sales price is X and purchase price is Y then the mark up % will be (X-Y)/Y*100 is displayed in this column.

Toolbar Functionality

To Print, Save and email the report select the appropriate icon from the toolbar. To download the report select the excel option from the toolbar.

Print:      To ‘Print’ the reports select the printer icon from the toolbar. A preview will be generated as pop up. The reports will be printed from the printer connected to the local computer.

Excel:      To download the reports in MS Excel formats select the ‘Excel’ option from the toolbar. The reports will be downloaded into local computer in spread sheet format.

Save:      To save the report select the ‘Save’ option from the toolbar. The reports will be downloaded to your local machine in PDF format.

Email:     To email the report select the ‘Email’ option from the toolbar. A pop up will be generated.

                To: Enter the email address of the recipient.

                CC/BCC: Enter the email address if you wish to send a copy of the report.

                Subject: Enter the subject line of the email.

                Attachment: The report will be attached as a PDF. Recipient will select the attachment to save or download the report to the local machine.
